Scope and Contents
Correspondence from the New England Society of Pennsylvania offering the statue to the Fairmount Park Commission and requesting a site (1904), and correspondence regarding the relocation of the statue from its temporary location at City Hall to its permanent site on East River Drive, including efforts to raise $5,000 to transport the statue in time for the 300th anniversary of the landing of the Pilgrims and an Art Jury resolution approving the relocation (1920). Also includes correspondence from Lincoln K. Passmore regarding the division of moving and installation expenses and reimbursement owed to the New England Society by the Fairmount Park Commission (1921-1922).
