Includes an 1887 letter from Godfrey Keebler to the Fairmount Park Commission proposing the placement of a Goethe monument on the plateau opposite the Schiller monument and requesting a meeting to arrange details, with a notation on the verso by Chief Engineer Russell Thayer recommending approval of the proposed site.
