Correspondence from John Bellangee Cox of the Fairmount Park Art Association requesting Fairmount Park Commission approval of the purchase of the original plaster mold before completion of the foundry work, and requesting the Commission designate a location for the fountain (1884), and a letter from Cox notifying the Commission that the fountain, recently erected in East Park, is offered to the Fairmount Park Commission (1884).
