This file documents the City of Philadelphia Department of Recreation's activities related to the maintenance and upkeep of Lackman Memorial Playground. Obtained in a donation to the archive from the Department of Recreation, records in this file were originally housed in a folder labeled Lackman PG. The file include memorandums, Final Acceptance notices, reproductions of utility plans, and ephemera.

File contains 8x10 black and white photographs of the site prior to development of a park, building exterior, park grounds and facilities, people playing tennis, people playing basketball, people swimming, and a dedication ceremony. Notable people featured in this file include City Council President Paul D'Ortona and City Councilman David Silver.

This file contains photographs showing the Department of Recreation's Maintenance Division at work; named sites include Lackman Playground and Vogt Playground. Documents the Maintenance Division working on an ice rink and a Recreation Department Zamboni. It also contains photographs of a Maintenance Division meeting.
