Photographs of the site before recreation center construction, building interior and exterior, children playing on playground equipment, day care class, senior citizens arts and crafts, and staff working in offices. Events documented include dedication ceremony, basketball games, and pool opening day. Notable people pictured include Senator Edmund Muskie, Mayor James Tate, and Recreation Commissioner Robert Crawford.
