Also includes an 1875 letter from a seller [signature illegible, possibly Caleb N.B. Sanders] offering a pair of stone lions purportedly imported from Italy and previously owned by Governor Mifflin and later Andrew Eastwick at his Grays Ferry estate. Possible relationship to the Florentine Lions is uncertain.
