As per the collection title, all items housed within this collection are stereographic images (or "stereographs"). The majority were created by Cremer, however there are a limited number of other creators which can be found throughout the collection. While subject matter varies, all items feature items within the city of Philadelphia. The majority of items are directly related to the Fairmount Park System, however there are a limited number of non-park related items, such as the Liberty Bell. The collection is especially strong in images documenting the Fairmount Water Works and Fairmount Park. The collection contains a mixture of lansdcape views of nature and significant buildings and images featuring people interacting with these elements.
