Biography
Environmental Design Collaborative was founded by John F. Curtis, Jr., where he was an owner and managing principal. The firm was a diverse practice that included the planning and design of office and industrial parks as well as corporate headquarters' buildings. All items in this collection are related to Franklin Delano Roosevelt Park, and they range from plans of notable buildings to maps of the park grounds. Items vary greatly in size, medium, and material, in addition to subject matter. The collection is especially strong in Olmsted drawings (reproductions), items related to Bellaire Manor and the American Swedish Historical Museum, and items related to the park's water features.
