Included with the proposed plans for a state highway across from Cobb's Creek Park is an item of correspondence between Paul MacMurray, Director of the Fairmount Park Commission, and E.T. Baker, Assistant Chief Engineer of the Department of Highways. In the letter, MacMurray expresses his concern that the proposed highway will interfere with the golf course, and his suggestion that the plan be revised, as a result.
