Scope and Contents

This file contains photographs of the site prior to its development into a playground, the building exterior, the grounds and facilities, and children playing on playground equipment. Events documented include the dedication ceremony, a baseball game, the Bicentennial Art Exhibit, the opening of the pool, a bubble gum-blowing contest, and a 100-hour street hockey marathon to benefit multiple sclerosis. Notable people featured in this file include Department of Recreation commissioner Robert Crawford.
