Scope and Contents
Photographs of the building exterior, grounds, children playing on the playground equipment, and children playing in the spray pool. Events and programs documented include the recreation center groundbreaking ceremony, a bocce championship game, the Guerin Music Festival, the indoor bocce center groundbreaking ceremony, a Gold Medal basketball game, arts and crafts sessions, demolition ceremonies prior to the recreation center's construction, performances from the Folk Dance Festival, and a 76ers basketball clinic. Notable people pictured include Mayors Richardson Dilworth and James Tate, Recreation Commissioner Robert W. Crawford, City Councilmen Emanuel Weinberg and Paul D'Ortona, and 76ers Wali Jones and Billy Cunningham.
