The collection contains approximately 200 postcards from 1875 and 2001, though most of the postcards are from 1885 and 1915. A majority of the postcards depict Fairmount Park sites, although two Virginia and one New Hampshire postcard are included in the collection.

Of particular note are the postcards in Series I: Centennial Exposition. The postcards in this series were created in 1875 and each depicts a building from the Centennial Exposition of 1876.

Recto: 114 Night view of Logan Circle Fountain and Art Museum on Parkway, Philadelphia, Pa.

Verso: The Swan Memorial Fountain at Logan Circle on the Parkway was finished in 1920 costing over $30,000. It was given by Margaret Swan in memory of Dr. Wm. C. Swan. The statuary is of bronze: the three figures being symbolic of the three rivers that flow in and around Philadelphia. The Art Museum is the finest of America's Art Museums and stands at the end of the Parkway at the entrance to Fairmount Park. It houses some of the most famous collections of art in the world.
